Painting is such a gratifying creative expression that not only takes me places, but also helps me to see things with a more critical eye.  Growth happens every time I paint.  It is so satisfying to begin with an idea, inspiration, and a blank canvas to produce a representation that speaks to me and hopefully to others.

 In a constant attempt to improve my craft, I attend workshops taught by artists whose work I admire.  Not one of these artists approach the canvas the same way.  How exciting it is to combine the insight shared by these generous teachers to find my own artistic expression.  I am so grateful to the many teachers that have taken the time to share their knowledge and to all those that have encouraged me to keep painting.
