Shallow thrown bowl. The relative light weight of this piece is a testament to the technical skill required to create this piece. The blue color on the surface was sealed in during the firing in a soda kiln. The underside is a warm tan resulting from the soda firing.
Technical: Thrown porcelain clay, "chattered" on the underside. Fired in a reduction gas kiln into which soda was introduced at around 2,200 degrees F.
